MILL John Stuart
AUTOBIOGRAPHY / AUTOBIOGRAFIA
John Stuart Mill - English philosopher, political scientist and economist. In philosophy, he was originally a continuator of the tradition of utilitarianism. In political science and economics he was a theoretician and representative of liberalism. He is considered the founder of democratic liberalism. One of the most influential thinkers in the history of classical liberalism, he made extensive contributions to social theory, political theory, and political economy. Dubbed "the most influential English-language philosopher of the 19th century" by the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, he conceived of freedom as justification for individual liberty as opposed to unrestricted state and social control.
